. - A portrait of Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson and the story behind the release in 2004 of the album Smile. First conceived in 1966, the original Smile tapes were shelved until 2003, when Wilson and lyricist Van Dyke Parks finally finished the work. The music was presented live in London in February 2004, and then released in a reworked form later that year to great critical acclaim.
